Dr Tru Ngo

Dr Tru Ngo is a Urological and Robotic surgeon with extensive experience in minimally invasive surgery and the treatment of urological cancers and complex benign urological disease. He completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales in 1996 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australiasian College of Surgeons. He has served the Sutherland and St George Shire for almost 20 years and holds hospital appointments at Kareena Private Hospital and St George Private Hospital and consults in Miranda and Kogarah.

 

Dr Ngo has particular expertise in robotic and laparoscopic urological surgery and manages all urological malignancies in a shared and multidisciplinary setting. His practice also encompasses renal stone disease, male and female urinary incontinence, bladder dysfunction and general urology.

 

A pioneer in robotic urology in Southern Sydney, he was the first urologist in the Sutherland and St George region to perform robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy and radical nephroureterectomy. He was also the first urologist in Australasia to have collaborated in a combined robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy and anterior resection. He has proctored over 50 robotic-assisted surgeries to urologists across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Geelong, Newcastle and Ballarat.

 

Dr Ngo is a member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the American Urological Association, the Society of Robotic Surgery and the Prostate Cancer Institute.
