Dr Rasha Gendy

Dr Rasha Gendy is a highly trained urological and robotic surgeon with a special interest in urological malignancies, particularly those of the kidney, bladder and prostate.

 

Dr Gendy completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of New South Wales in 2011, graduating with first class honours. She undertook rigorous urological training across multiple high-volume units in NSW whilst concurrently completing her Master of Surgery Degree (MS) with a focus on bladder cancer through the University of Sydney. In 2018, Dr Gendy was awarded the prestigious George Schnitzler Award for Registrar of the Year by the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ). She was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2020. Thereafter, Dr Gendy undertook a Fellowship in Advanced Robotic and Laparoscopic Uro-oncology in the United Kingdom focussing on the surgical treatment of prostate, bladder and kidney cancers. In recognition of her training and qualifications, Dr Gendy was admitted as a Member of the International Postgraduate Deanery with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

 

Dr Gendy has been fortunate to work along world-leaders in the field of uro-oncology and is an active member of Australian and international urological organisations and is actively involved in research, surgical education and mentoring. Dr Gendy has published scientific research, presented at national and international conferences, and contributes to the supervision and training of junior doctors and urology registrars.
