Dr Amani Harris

Dr Amani Harris is an obstetrician and gynaecologist specialising in advanced laparoscopic and robotic gynaecological surgery, with expertise in complex hysterectomy, endometriosis, adenomyosis, pelvic pain and myomectomy. She holds RANZCOG/AGES Level 6 accreditation in Advanced Laparoscopic Gynaecological Surgery, after completing a two-year AGES Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Monash Health, Melbourne.

Dr Harris is a Director of Training and co-founder of the Sydney Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgery Unit (SMIGS), an AGES-accredited program that trains the next generation of laparoscopic and robotic surgeons. She is also a board director of AGES and a past regional board member of the AAGL, contributing to international standards in robotic and minimally invasive care. She holds a Master of Advanced Gynaecological Surgery (Western Sydney University) and a Master of Reproductive Medicine (UNSW, with excellence). Dr Harris is the current Head of Gynaecology Department at The Sutherland Hospital.
